My latest resume is here.

In October 2000 I resigned from Eftia OSS Solutions.  In mid-November I joined Andre at Catena Networks in Kanata.  After a busy few months we put together the first set of documentation and training materials and everybody is happy.  I'm now moving on to a new project and am quite pleased with the challenge.  Our department is growing and I am soon going to be working with my friend Ingrid again.  Should be a blast.

In August 1999 I switched from working at Newbridge Networks Corporation (May 1997 to August 1999) to a great young company called Eftia OSS Solutions.  I am still doing Technical Writing and am really enjoying the new job.  In the fall 1999 I was also moonlighting as a Beginners Running Class Instructor one night a week.  That is a challenging new direction for me and I'm not sure where it'll lead.

I went to the University of Waterloo for both my Undergradate and Graduate degrees and now have an Honours Bachelors of Environmental Studies - Co-op Geography and a Masters of Environmental Studies also in Geography. Once I graduated with my BES and MES (sounds strange doesn't it?) I set out to find work. After what felt like a very long while I started working at the journal Conservation Ecology. I will admit that working at Conservation Ecology is not what I imagined I'd be doing when I graduated, but it was still a great job.  After that I worked for a year at a geographic consulting firm called EnfotecEnfotec had a great piece of software called IceNav which was a PC-based tool to help ships navigate through ice-infested waters.  Using IceNav you could overlay the ships course (real and projected) over satellite imagery.  Depending on the scale of the satellite images used it was possible to see individual ice floes and navigate around them.  This was helpful for our customers in the Gulf of St. Lawrence and the Canadian Arctic.
